Obama's War?

On Oct 31 both FOX News and USA Today report that Obama asked the Pentagon's top generals to provide him with more options for troop levels in Afghanistan. The same day Former President George W. Bush warned Saturday that "the world would face serious threats" if the resurgent Taliban and al-Qaeda are allowed to retake control of Afghanistan. Now we all know that Bush is the biggest idiot to hit the white house. But Obama is falling into his foot steps and fast. General Stanley McChrystal ask Pres. Obama on August 30 for 50,000 more troops for Afghanistan on top of the 68,000 already stationed there. This was almost a month before Sept. 28, 2009 when President Obama and his wife planed to travel to Copenhagen to lobby International Olympic Committee members to award Chicago the 2016 Summer Olympics. A month with no answer? Now two months have passed and Obama still has not respond to Gen McChrystals request. Did the White House not learn from the first 5 to 6 years of the war that if you don’t listen to your Generals that we are going to lose this war? Bush and Rumsfeld failed to do what their generals and top military officials where telling them to do from the 2nd year of the Iraq war. Thousands of US military died under the Bush administration. Now Pres. Obama is going to fail to do what his top military officials are telling him. Thousands of US military are going to die under his administration. What is more important here? I think it would be the lives of out military men and women fighting this war in Afghanistan and not worrying about getting the Olympics in Chicago in 2016. CNNnews.com reports on September 30, 2009 that 43 U.S. troops have died in Afghanistan since Gen. McChrystal called for reinforcements. Exactly one month after the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan sent a confidential war assessment to the Obama administration, warning that more forces are needed--soon. Now ABC News reports that October is the deadliest month ever for U.S. forces in what is already the deadliest year for U.S. troops in Afghanistan since the war started in 2001. This brings Obamas death toll up to 280 service members since Gen. McChrystal has asked for more troop to win the war. This was a Bush war but now, its an Obama war. Send the troops or get us out now Mr. Obama. This is now your war.
